Czech Republic

The Czech Republic is a landlocked country in Central Europe. The country shares borders with Poland, Germany, Austria and Slovakia. The capital and largest city is Prague, which has become a major tourist destination.

The country possesses a developed, high-income economy with a GDP per capita of around 80 percent of the European Union average, and a population of more than 10.5 million people. One of the most stable and prosperous of the post-Communist states, the Czech Republic's growth has been led by exports to the European Union - especially Germany, and foreign investment.

The Czech Republic is a member state of the European Union, NATO, OECD, OSCE, the Council of Europe, and other international organisations.
