Oman

The Sultanate of Oman lies on the southeast corner of the Arabian Peninsula overlooking three seas, the Arabian Gulf, the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea. Oman is bordered by the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and has a mostly national population of more than 3.6 million, many of whom live in the capital, Muscat.

Oman enjoys a stable political, economic, and social system, which is enhanced by the excellent relationships between the Sultanate and neighboring countries. Less oil rich than many of its Gulf neighbours, Oman has a diversified economy which straddles service and agricultural sectors, as well as the energy sector. It has recently seen significant growth in its tourism sector, which has developed in response to its stunning and varied scenery, and the lush monsoon climate in the south of the country.

Oman is a member of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
